    Blue Ceylon offers fine quality stones from Sri Lanka and beyond. Specializing in Sapphires, we also sell a range of other high quality and exceptional gems including Chrysoberyls, Garnets, natural Zircons and Spinels, and Amethysts to name a few.

    Blue Ceylon was created by Gaia Designs (Pvt) Ltd., a gem and jewelry export company based in Sri Lanka, with the primary purpose of keeping our customers in the USA updated on stones currently in inventory. The site has been created to give clear and succinct information about our gemstones without undo sales promotion. The high quality of the gemstones that we consider worthy to add to our inventory is what has assured the long-lasting relationships with our professional goldsmith and gem-wholesaler customers.

    We would be pleased to meet new customers through Blue Ceylon and we welcome enquires from persons unfamiliar with our company. Most of our inventory is kept in the USA so stones requested by our customers can be quickly and inexpensively shipped. Payment can be made by money order or check, or by wire-transfer into our USA account. At this time we cannot accept payment by credit card.  About the Managing Director

    The managing director and founder of Gaia Designs (Pvt) Ltd. is Jeffrey P. Meier. A graduate of the GIA gemologist program (1989), he is a native Californian who has been dealing in gemstones from Sri Lanka for more than a decade. Before coming to Sri Lanka he worked nearly two years as a staff gemologist for a well-known gem-export and jewelry-manufacturing company in Bangkok, Thailand. He travels widely in the South and Southeast Asia region sourcing stones not only from Sri Lanka but also from Africa, Pakistan, Burma, India and Thailand.
